Waterproofing Systems
with High Standards & Quality by Diastrosi Hellas
We all observe that weather conditions in recent years are constantly changing with warmer summers and colder winters. Heavy rainfall and floods are now often phenomena. It is more than ever necessary to think about the value of insulation in a building. It offers us total protection against damage caused by moisture and water, but reduces the energy and the increased cost required in order to live in a quality environment.
Diastrosi Hellas with ecological conscience and with the ultimate aim of shielding your building and reducing your expenses, offers complete solutions to the insulation and insulation of terraces in all kind of buildings, realising Protection and energy upgrade with first and most important step the insulation of roof.
At DIASTROSI HELLAS we always choose the most advantageous and qualitative solutions for our customers and their building. The materials we use are certified, shield the building and achieve optimum results in roof insulation.
There is a continuous development in the ways and materials of waterproofing in the last 30-40 years, which started mainly with bituminous materials, the addition of the cement materials, after we see the brushable, and in recent years (in Greece) The spraying materials (wet membranes-fast-set/hot-spray).
Bituminous membranes are one of the most known insulation solutions mainly because of their low cost. It is technically correct to apply to a substrate that is not coarse (rough), unless other work is carried out to allow it. Due to the many different types and qualities of bituminous membranes, they require great care when choosing and applying them and their usual lifespan is between 5-8 years.

Brushable waterproofing materials are another widespread way for roofs or basement waterproofing. Due to the nature of the materials and the method of application are suitable for application in many types of substrates. Their application is done, usually with roller or brush, while many times it is possible to apply by spraying. Their advantage is that they do not have joints (such as bituminous membranes) and the lifespan for cheap materials is 2-5 years while most of them vary between 7-10 years.
